Description

A boundary bank of possible medieval date is visible on remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 180m west of Astonhill Lodge, Aston Clinton, and centred at SP 88943 10125. This woodland boundary bank is inside the boundary shown on Epoch 1 Ordnance Survey mapping and modern mapping but is clearly visible on lidar visualisations running east-west from the line of a deep hollow way towards Astonhill Lodge. It is 3-5m wide and approximately 225m long.
