Description

Drainage ditches of post medieval/modern date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 250m west of the moated site at Vatches Farm, Aston Clinton and centred at SP 86233 12778. These narrow ditches may be part of the water channels associated with the moat or the drainage in to the heavily canalised watercourse that to the north of the moat. (1-2)
