Description

A network of trackways of probable post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs as extant earthworks and soilmarks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located at approximately 250m north west of Daniel’s Hole, Aston Clinton, and centred at SP 89001 10513. This network of trackways is visible as earthworks and soil marks in 1945, through scrubby woodland. By 1971 woodland has been planted across most of the area and modern land use is part of a golf course which has resulted in some of the earthworks being levelled. (1-4)
