Description

Drainage ditches of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 720m north east of Vatches Farm, Aston Clinton, and centred at SP 87342 12745. These ditches are between two areas of ridge and furrow earthworks on the south side of some sewage works in the 1940s and south of an earth mound created when the A41 bypass was constructed.(1-2)
