Description

A chalk pit of post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 490m south east of Lodge farm, Buckland, and centred at SP 89954 10892. The chalk pit is subrectangular and measures approximately 70x50m at its largest.
