Description
Built 1856 by Thos. Grove. Ceased working 1903. Stocks of 3 sails remain. Fantail damaged, gallery gone. Unusual wagon shape cap (B1).
Converted to house (Windmill House). Red brick tower. Had 4 patent sails (B3).
1856 date needs verifying. Built by Holman's, Canterbury. Typical Kentish design & proportions (B6).
Buildings report held at NMR (B7).
Grade II. 1856 brick tower mill, weatherboarded cap with stumps of sails only. Machinery removed (B8).
Built in 1865 for Thomas Grove, a London fish merchant. Detailed account and description (B9).
A tower mill built in 1856 for the processing of cereals. It ceased to operate after 1934 and is now used as a house. Listed Grade II (B10).
