Description

Lynchets of probable medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located on Aston Hill, north of Daniel’s Hole, Aston Clinton, and centred at SP 89071 10662. The lynchets are visible as parallel earthworks on a chalk slope and are within the current extent of the golf course; they measure approximately 5-15m in width and are between 80-290m in length.
