Description

A short length of boundary bank and ditch of probable medieval/post medieval date is visible on remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 330m south west of Astonhill Lodge, and centred at SP 88874 09877. The boundary is approximately 150m in length, and measures 10m across in total. This boundary is not visible on any historic mapping available to the project. Land use in 1945 visible on aerial photographs was woodland and modern land use continues the same.(1-4)
