Description

A wood bank and boundary ditch of medieval/post medieval date are visible on remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located in Tatnall’s Wood, Aston Clinton and centred at SP 89342 09080. Boundary bank and ditch are along the south western side of the wood, away from the line of the present woodland boundary. Landuse in 1945 was woodland and it continues the same on modern aerial photographs. This woodland is part of the Dancersend Local Nature Reserve, but is outside the SSSI area.(1-4)
