Description
A water meadow of medieval/post medieval date is visible on remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located on the east side of the Grand Union Canal, Wendover, and centred at SP 87054 09406. The water meadow has very straight channels between the water supply ditches. Land use in the 1940s shows a wooded area and this is still present on modern aerial photographs and the water meadow was mapped from lidar visualisations. (1-4)
