A SESTERTIUS OF MARCUS AURELIUS, REV SALUS TYPE. FOUND BY MR G ALLNUTT, DUG UP IN GARDEN. OS ANTIQUITY NO SU 99 SE 8 (B1-4).
A sestertius of Marcus Aurelius was dug up in the garden of Orchard Grove (name SU 995906) Cliftonville, about 1960 (B3).
The precise findspot of the Roman coin was pointed out on the ground by Mr G Allnut (sic) at SU 9939 9068 in the back garden of 53 Orchard Grove. It was found on the surface, and is retained by Mr Alnut (B5).
