Description

A road of medieval/post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and/or remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located approximately 500m south west of Worlds End, Wendover, and centred at SP 85769 08770. Earthworks of parallel ditches along a road or trackway can be traced across fields south of World’s End, around areas of ridge and furrow and ditches. This road is not shown on any maps available to the project. Modern land use is grassland and a domestic garden. Possibly part of the earlier course of Dobbin’s Lane to the north of Wendover. (1-6)
