Description

Drainage ditches of probable post medieval/modern date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Located north of Wellwick Farm, Ellesborough and Wendover, and centred at SP 85146 08268. Straight drainage ditches with channels joining at right angles but light conditions on aerial photos do not show all of these; they are visible on lidar but may be modern. (1-2)
