Description

High Wycombe Police Station, designed by E A L Martyn and built in 1935-7. Neo-Georgian red brick nine bay two storey building with dormer lit attic. Gauged brickwork frame and lintels to windows on both floors within each bay with plain stone stringcourse forming sills of first floor windows. Central entrance with stone architrave with broken pediment and coat of arms. Lintel of door has carved panel bearing 'Police Station'. Hipped pantile roof with flat centre section. Building assessed in 2014 as having medium architectural and historical significance, with a low risk of demolition, and in good structural condition (B1).
