  • PIT (17th Century to 19th Century - 1600 AD? to 1899 AD)
  • BUILDING (19th Century - 1800 AD to 1899 AD)

Description

Two pits contained 17th pottery, although it is thought this may be residual within the fill. Other pits contained 18 and 19th-century finds, and were cut by brick foundations of 19th-century houses. The pits were possibly dug for sand extraction. Some of the pits indicate quick backfilling. Possibly to level the ground prior to construction (B1)
