Description

FRAGMENTS OF POTTERY & ANIMAL BONES FOUND BY WORKERS WHILE DIGGING BRICKEARTH AT ALMOND'S BRICKWORKS . THESE SHOWN TO A D LACAILLE IN 1936. FOREMAN DESCRIBED A LONG TRENCH 1.5M BY C30M RUNNING N-S IN AN ARC. IN THE DITCH LAY SEVERAL PYRAMIDS OF STONES C/M WIDE & HIGH. A D L SAW PART OF DITCH (B4,B8-9).
