Description
SMALL HUMAN SKULL (FEMALE) WITH DEER BONES FOUND EMBEDDED IN 3FT THICK PEAT LAYER AT ORKNEY COTTAGE (B1).
ORKNEY COTTAGE (AT NGR) NOW 3 FLATS. NO KNOWLEDGE OF FIND LOCALLY (B2).
FOUND UNACCESSIONED IN BCM: HUMAN SKULL PIECES (FEMALE), FROM PEAT BED AT ORKNEY COTTAGE 1885, DARK COLOUR (B3).
"A small human skull (female) with bones of deer, found at Orkney Cottage (SU 9026 8093) embedded in a layer of peat about 3' in thickness" (B1).
Orkney Cottage now comprises three flats; neither the tenants nor the present owner of the property have any knowledge of the find. Present whereabouts unknown (B4).
