MARCH 27, 1867: MR J W GROVER EXHIBITED 2 KEYS AT LAST MEETING, BOTH FOUND AT HITCHAM. 1 FOUND WITH ROMAN COINS (B1).
ROMAN COINS FOUND IN HITCHAM NEAR PRESENT BATH ROAD & IN MY (J W GROVER) POSSESSION (B2).
NO FURTHER INFO ON PRECISE LOCATION: NGR TO CENTRE OF BATH ROAD IN HITCHAM, NO LONGER A PARISH (B3).



Roman Key found by J W Grover together with Roman coins, at Hitcham (B1).

Roman coins have been found in the parish of Hitcham, near the present Bath Road, and are in the possession of J W Grover (B2).

No further information could be obtained regarding present whereabouts or find spot, Hitcham House and Hitcham Park occur in SU 9282 and the area of Bath Road nearest to them is centred at SU 9200 8113. The old parish of Hitcham is now incorporated with Burnham (SU 9382) (B5).
