Description
A ring ditch of uncertain date and function is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the former RAF airfield adjacent Hogpit Spinney and centred at SP 61961 38194, a ring ditch up to 5 metres wide encloses an internal area about 16 metres in diameter, within which there is a central circular cropmark about 9.5 metres in diameter. This may be a feature related to aviation as it is sited on the edge of the airfield perimeter track (1-2).
