Description
Fragments of an early post-medieval road is visible on remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located and centred at SP 66520 36513, a linear earthwork bank in three sections between 6 and 7 metres wide extends a total of 428 metres from between Oxford Bridge and Boycott Farm. The 1814 Ordnance Surveyors drawing depict this roadway extant at that time but is not recorded on the 1881 1st edition OS map (1-3).
