Description

Boundaries of medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the north side of houses along Main Street, Padbury, and centred at SP 71808 30690. Boundaries, creating narrow gardens, at right angles to Main Street are visible to the rear of houses along the road. The 1591 map of the parish of Padbury shows houses and narrow gardens, with owner/occupiers’ names and these plots continued up to the road at the northern end. (1-7)
