Description

Linear boundaries medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the west side of Old End, Padbury, and centred at SP 71446 30500. These boundaries are within a pasture field to the rear of houses along the road at Old End; the same is shown on the Ordnance Survey Epoch 1 map but the 1591 map of the parish shows long narrow gardens to the read of the houses. These earthworks fit with those shown on the map when georeferenced. (1-8)
