Description
A post medieval sand or gravel pit is visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 460 metres N of Laurel Farm and centred at SP 85146 27291, the roughly circular extractive pit is about 627 square metres in area. Recent remote sensing data shows that the pit has been infilled and levelled, but its outline is still visible (1-2).
