Monument record MBC45327 - Iron Age and/or Roman ditches, Oak Lodge Farm.

Iron Age and/or Roman ditches and enclosures are visible on historic aerial photographs as cropmarks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 657 metres SE of Oak Lodge Farm and centred at SP 68742 30071, the cropmarks have emerged from under a block of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation earthworks that were only just visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s, but which had been entirely levelled by successive post-war ploughing. The cropmarks comprise a linear ditch about 1 metre wide and about 90 metres SSW-NN is connected at the SSW end by a 78 metres long curving ditch aligned WNW-ESE. At the WNW end the ditch curves turns NNW for 31 metres: from the ESE end the ditch curves 18 metres to the N. These connected ditches suggest at least two and possibly three fragmentary contiguous ditched enclosures. To the N, E and SW of these features are isolated sections of linear ditch that suggest an association with the enclosure cropmark features (1-4).
