Description

A post-medieval linear drainage ditch is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on meadows between the Grand Union Canal and the River Ouzel and centred at SP 90356 27734, a linear ditch up to 3.7 metres wide extends W-E for 207 metres across a meadow connecting to a perpendicular drain at each end that leads to the river. On aerial photographs taken in 2019 and recent remote sensing data, the drain appears to have been levelled (1-3).
