Description

A post-medieval sand pit is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located within Oak Wood and centred at SP 90893 28818, the irregularly shaped extraction site is about 156 metres NNW-SSE and 40 metres WSW-ENE at their widest points, covering an area about 2,700 square metres (1-2).
