Description

A complex of medieval and/or post-medieval trackways and a linear wood bank are visible on remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located within King’s Wood and Bragenham Wood and centred at SP 92598 30227 the complex of sinuous interconnected trackways extend about 750 metres W-E and 324 metres N-S. Centred at SP 92809 30253 is a linear earthwork bank that may have been a wood bank extending W-E for 250 metres. These features are not represented on historic OS map editions, nor are they visible on aerial photographs taken in 2019 (1).
