Description
A post-medieval extractive pit is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field west of Church Copse and centred at SP 63891 30113, an irregularly shaped extractive pit is about 8,908 square metres in area. Visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken between 1946 and 1961, on remote sensing data gathered in 2019, the feature has been much levelled by ploughing but is still visible (1-4).
