Description

Boundaries and possible platforms of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the west side of Bridge Street, Thornborough, and centred at SP 74626 33488. A boundary bank and ditch on the edge of ridge and furrow field systems surrounding the village of Thornborough. The boundaries form subrectangular plots of land, which are not shown on Ordnance Survey Epoch 1 map, behind the houses on Bridge Street. The stream that runs through the centre of Thornborough forms the southern side of this plot and these boundaries are not the same as those on the Ordnance Survey Epoch 1 map. (1-2)
