Monument record MBC45254 - Trackway between Bridge Street and Bletchley Road (A421), Thornborough

A trackway of medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located between Bridge Street and Bletchley Road (A421), Thornborough, and centred at SP 74740 33011. The trackway runs between areas of ridge and furrow earthworks, partly followed by footpaths on historic and modern maps. The parish of Thornborough was inclosed in 1797 and the roads would likely have been rerouted at the time. This trackway is not shown on the Ordnance Surveyors’ Drawing of Winslow from 1813. (1-8)
