Description
A boundary medieval/post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs as levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located north of Hedges Farm, Padbury, and centred at SP 71744 32601. This boundary is parallel to the Padbury Brook; it is shown on the 1591 map of the parish of Padbury as the northern boundary of a large field called Hedges. No ridge and furrow is depicted on this map in this field. A small subcircular feature where it joins the Brook is also shown on the map. A ford is shown on the Ordnance Survey Epoch 1 map approximately 200m to the east (downstream) from this feature. (1-4)
