Description
Drainage ditches of probable post medieval/modern date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located between the River Great Ouse and the course of the Grand Junction Canal to Buckingham, Maids Moreton, and centred at SP 72738 34873. These ditches are on the flood plain of the River Great Ouse, approximately 700m south of Hydelane Farm, Foscott, and in a parcel called Deepe Meade on the 1591 map of Maids Moreton. (1-3)
