Description
A post-medieval extractive pit is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 422 metres ESE of Thatcham Ponds Farm and centred at SP 66227 40018, an irregularly shaped extraction site, probably a gravel pit, is about 907 square metres in area. The feature does not appear on historic editions of OS maps (1-2).
