Description

A subcircular mound of uncertain date and function is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 333 metres WNW of Prospect Farm and centred at SP 70213 27616, a subcircular mound is about 28.5 metres W-E and 20 metres N-S at its widest points and about 44 square metres in area. The mound underlies a block of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation earthworks, pre-dating it (1-2).
