Description
Drainage ditches of medieval/post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and levelled earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 750m south east of Foscote Manor, Foscote, and centred at SP 72337 35704. These drainage ditches are cut across ridge and furrow earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs when land use was pasture, by 1993 the earthworks have been ploughed and land use has changed to arable. These ditches run down a natural low area of land. (1-3)
