Description

A road of medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs as levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 380m southwest of the Church, Lillingstone Daryell, and centred at SP 70237 39608. This road leads towards site of the manor house enclosure and continues north of the main boundary around the house/shrunken settlement. This road and these boundaries are not shown on the Ordnance Surveyors’ Drawing for Stony Stratford. Modern land use is arable on the northern end and parkland pasture, which appears to have been ploughed level, at the southern end. (1-4)
