Description
An area of landslip deposits of uncertain date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located south east of Weatherhead Farm, Barrett’s End, Leckhampstead and centred at SP 73610 37358. These deposits show as uneven ground at the foot of a rounded hill, below earthworks of ridge and furrow and shrunken settlement at Barrett’s End, they were mapped for distinctness between these earthworks. This area, including the ridge and furrow and deserted settlement, is recorded on the Mass Movement layer of geological mapping between Weatherhead Farm and Willow Wood Barn (formerly Lower Farm), and was mapped here, with the other features, for completeness. Underlying solid geology is White Limestone overlain by Superficial Deposits of Glacial Till. (1-6)
