Description

An extractive pit post medieval date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant levelled earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on the east side of the road at Church End, Leckhampstead, and centred at SP 72468 38072. Pit is 54x20m in size and cut in to solid geology of White Limestone, a local building stone. (1-3)
