Monument record MBC45052 - Former boundaries/road/ditches/possible parkland features, in parkland near Thornton College, formerly Thornton Hall.

Linear features of post medieval date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 220m south of Thornton College (formerly Thornton Hall), Thornton, and centred at SP 75298 36045. Linear features within parkland at Thornton College forming probable boundaries, a road and drainage ditches across and around areas of ridge and furrow; crossed by the line of the road towards the river crossing, which was moved away from the house in 1853. Development of sports pitches at the College have removed trace of some features. (1-7)
