- WATER CHANNEL (Undated)
Description
A water channel of uncertain date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located north of Valley Farm, Lillingstone Lovell and centred at SP 71366 40862. The water channels run parallel to the existing water course, curving at the southern end to rejoin the main watercourse. This could either be a natural former course or the water channel or possible a leat for a mill, which is recorded in the manor in the 13th century.
