Description
An extractive pit and spoil heap of post medieval/modern date are visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 200m east of Valley Farm, Lillingstone Lovell, and centred at SP 71579 40824. Approximately 280m east of a limekiln shown on Ordnance Survey Epoch 2 map, underlying geology is Superficial Deposits of Oadby Member Diamicton and solid geology of Forest Marble Group Limestone.
