Description

An extractive pit of post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as extant earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located approximately 280m north west of Keyes Farm, Lillingstone Lovell, and centred at SP 70160 40921. A subrectangular pit, measuring 68x37m, cut through ridge and furrow earthworks in to underlying geology of Oadby Member Diamicton which overlies Blisworth Limestone Formation. (1-2)
