Description

Baptist Church, Easton Street. 1908 by Thomas Thurlow. Ashlar front, the rest red brick. A remarkably late case of the Baptist tradition of Italianate fronts with Cinquecento details and a pediment (B1).
'Union Chapel (General Baptist) (Contains 550 sitting)' is shown with the same footprint on 1874 county town 50-inch OS map and 1877 25-inch OS map (B2).
