Monument record MBC45027 - Post-medieval drainage ditch system, Padbury Brook.

A post-medieval drainage ditch system is visible on historic aerial photographs as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located along flood meadows on the north side of Padbury Brook and centred at SP 68812 27630, a system of interconnected linear drainage ditches between 1 and 4 metres wide extend over 1,765 metres from SP 67940 27385 to SP 69467 27481. Still visible in 1961, by 1973 some of the drainage ditches to the east appear to have been plough-levelled and by 2003 the remainder have also been levelled. On 2019 dated remote sensing data, none of the drainage ditches are visible (1-7)
