Description
Three conjoined sub-circular ditched enclosures of probable Iron Age and/or Roman date are visible on historic aerial photographs as cropmarks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 360 metres NW of the sewage pumping station at Poundon and centred at SP 64569 25869, the enclosures extend over 144 metres SW-NE and about 32 metres NW-SE but the western sides of the features are not visible. From SW-NE the enclosures are about 16, 23 and 63 metres in diameter at their widest points (1).
