Description

A probable 20th century area of extraction is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located about 600 metres W of Mill farm, Westbury and centred at SP 61490 35835, a large irregularly shaped area of soil disturbance in a field covers an area of about 2,982 square metres. It appears to have truncated two blocks of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation earthworks, suggesting a post-medieval or later date (1-5).
