Description

An Iron Age and/or Roman D-shaped ditched enclosure is visible on aerial photographs as cropmarks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 200 metres S of Cow Pond Copse and centred at SP 64693 37728, a D-shaped ditch between 1.2 and 2.2 metres wide encloses an area about 16 metres wide NW-SE and 13 metres SW-NE. The linear side of the enclosure is SW facing, with the curving sides extending NE (1).
