Description
A probable Iron Age and/or Roman curvilinear ditched enclosure is visible on historic aerial photographs as cropmarks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field adjacent Hogpit Spinney about 550 metres SSW of Huntsmill Farm and centred at SP 63602 35087, a 1.3 metres wide ditch describes a roughly 270 degree arc in four broken sections, enclosing an internal area about 28 metres in diameter. A much larger D-shaped ditched enclosure lies centred some 85 metres to the east (Bucks HER No. MBC44937) (1).
