Description

Dimensions - Length 26km.
Plan Form - Linear.
Length from Berkhamstead-Wycombe assumed to be a whole. Probably once in open or cleared country. Was E line of Cuthwolf's territory in Anglo-Saxon Chronicles c.571 (Further detail)(B5).
Not earlier than Saxon; perhaps C5-C6 AD sub-Roman settlers (B6).
Said to be Iron Age. Cut by 2 Roman roads. Catuvellauni boundary (B7).
