Description
Four post-medieval extractive pits are visible on remote sensing data as earthworks and were mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located within Tilehouse Wood west of Charmandean School and centred at SP 468307 239610, the four irregularly shaped pits extend over about 313 metres N-S and are about 210, 720, 1245 and 1342 square metres in area (1).
